How it works

What actually happens when you use Bond

Bond is not a course and not a chatbot. It is a small set of measurements, one daily ritual and a library of things to try — arranged so that each part tells you what to do next.

Step 1 — The baseline

You answer four routing questions (your stage, how long you have been together, your biggest challenge, and what would make Bond most useful) and then a 20-item sweep across eight domains: communication, trust, conflict, intimacy, values, stress, fun and appreciation.

That produces a score per domain and an overall picture with a band — not a grade. The band describes what tends to happen at that score and what tends to help, in plain language.

Step 2 — Your own insight, first

When you finish, Bond writes an individual insight for you from your scores and bands. It is private, it is written from numbers rather than anything you typed, and your partner cannot see it.

The couple insight is different, and it only exists once both of you have completed the baseline. That sequencing is deliberate: nobody should be answering while being watched.

Step 3 — Pairing

You share a six-character code. Pairing retires both of your solo spaces and starts a shared one, so from that moment you have shared results, a joint dashboard and a question of the day you both answer.

Nothing written before pairing becomes visible afterwards. Your own history follows you; your partner's stays theirs.

Step 4 — The daily ritual

Two minutes: mood, energy, connection and an optional private note. Plus one question of the day that both of you answer, and you only see your partner's answer once you have written yours.

Streaks are tracked because consistency is what moves things, not intensity. A fortnight of two-minute check-ins does more than one long conversation you never repeat.

Step 5 — Assessments as you need them

Sixteen assessments cover the parts of a relationship that are hard to see: how you each give and receive affection, what you do when closeness feels uncertain, how you handle disagreement, what you each believe about money, and more.

Individual answers stay private. A shared result appears only for assessments you have both completed.

Step 6 — Exercises, learning and the deep dive

Guided exercises give you something concrete to do together. The learning library explains the pattern behind what you are seeing. The monthly deep dive takes one theme — repair, boundaries, desire, money — and works through it over four weeks.

Step 7 — Progress you can both see

Check-in counts, streaks, assessment history and score trends over time. The point is not gamification. It is that change in a relationship is slow and invisible, and a chart makes it visible enough to keep going.

Where Bond stops

Bond is a wellness tool. It does not diagnose, it does not treat, and it will not tell you whether your relationship should continue. If you are working with a therapist, Premium+ lets you share selected reflections with them under a consent you both control — but Bond is designed to sit alongside that work, not replace it.

Start with step one

The baseline takes about ten minutes and gives you something concrete to look at — whether or not your partner joins you.
